Peak FM Calendar Launch

Bimbo Design are delighted to be a part of the Peak FM 2011 Charity Calendar, which is NOW ON SALE!  I offered my design services and worked incredibly hard getting the whole thing to print and spent quite a few late nights at the studio to meet the print deadline.  Lots of other local companies also donated services from photography to hair & make up to make the calendar as well put together as it is.

I'm extremely proud to be able to raise money for the charities, National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline and Weston Park Hospital.  All of the models in the calendar have been touched by cancer personally, so I hope that you will be generous and support theses fantastic hard working charities and buy a calendar!

Masquerade Ball - Sponsorship

Bimbo Design recently sponsored the Masquerade Ball to raise awareness and Essential Funds for the Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline

Clients of mine, Julie and Dawn from Derbyshire Wedding & Event Planners arranged the Masquerade Ball to raise money for the Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline run by Wendy Watson and daughter Becky Measures from Peak FM.

More than 180 people attended Grassmoor Golf Centre in Chesterfield for the worthwhile cause, which was the result of many months hard work by Julie, Dawn and Diana of Derbyshire Event & Wedding Planners.

Many local businesses offered their services free of charge to make this event the huge success that it was.

The star of the show was a 5 tier cake, gorgeously hand crafted by the talented Candice Wilson of Love Candy Cakes.  Everyone took part in a guess the weight of the cake on the night which got pulses racing and the event managed to raise more than £600. The VIP guests for the evening were Peak FM’s Becky Measures and mum Wendy Watson, (Founder of The Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline) who enjoyed a well deserved night off.

The evening was full of colour and vibrancy and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night and we raised money for a fantastic cause.  Here is a picture of me, I love nothing more than playing dress up!

Precious Bridal Rooms - Sale flyers

Due to the success of last years 'Miss Precious' campaign, Bimbo Design have been asked to work on a whole host of marketing activity for the girls at Precious Bridal Rooms... however I can't say too much as it's literally 'on the drawing board'

I adore these business cards that I have designed & printed for Simon Revill.  I've worked with Simon  on a number of photography projects but never had the pleasure of working on his marketing... but he finally saw the benefits that Bimbo Design could give him over his competition, and let me loose on his business cards... yay!

The photographic market is fierce, so I wanted to make sure that Simons business cards would be kept and not fade into the background.  We decided that a translucent card was most appropriate and a very subtle & delicate designed was applied.  It's a difficult one to explain so i'll let the photograph do the talking (supplied by Simon Revill, of course!)

Firstly, I am going to make an apology for my complete lack of Blog posts, it's been over a month since my last update! ... I just don't know where this year has gone.

Bimbo Design are helping Katherine at The White Room promote her Christmas Shopping Night.  These are the lovely invitations that I have designed but there is a lot more to come.  The event has been hugely successful in the past - but it still needs to be advertised, so we can guarantee 'bums on seats'.  I have also produced A1 posters, Flyers and a Social Media Campaign on Facebook to guarantee maximum exposure for this even without damaging Katherines pocket : )

What a week and we're only 3 days in!  Sue at White Media is working us hard, we're covering a wide marketing mix this week from 10ft outdoor banners to tiny A6 flyers and various bits and bobs in between.

Today we've been working on some website updates for Lisa Hilliard.  Lisa came to Bimbo Design back in 2008 for a full branding package.  We created her a strong brand identity, built a bespoke website, armed her with marketing materials plus stacks of advice.   We made sure she had everything she needed to launch her business with a bang.

East Meets West - Poster Advertising

Bimbo Design have been promoting the exciting 'East Meets West' Wedding Show at  Pride Park Stadium.  We've been busy designing and printing outdoor  banners, posters, flyers and tickets... oh, and also an email campaign!  It's going to be a sensational show.

April Delights... delicious new branding

 

Bimbo Design were faced with a little task from Adele at April Flowers - she wanted to divert from her current business 'April Flowers' to concentrate on cakes!  What a pickle...  not only were we looking at a re-brand but also a new company name.

Adele wanted to keep the 'April' part of the company name as it was very dear to her... and before she had time to worry about it we had created her the most perfect brand identity... April Delights.

Working with Adele has been great, she left us to do what we do best - and the results are simply delicious.  April Delights now have strong company branding and,  are you ready...  Business Cards, Letterheads, Flyers, Vehicle Graphics, Website, Facebook & Twitter pages and last but not least a shiny new blog! ... but, it doesn't stop there, we are now working on shop signage, an email campaign and gift vouchers.

Glitterati - Salon Brochures

The studio is as busy as ever at Bimbo Design and we've just finished designing a beautiful treatment brochure for Glitterati.  The Glitterati beauty salon moves away from the steroetypical clinical feel and instead offers a glamorous welcoming environment and is a hit with A list celebrities such as Cheryl Cole.

Their treatment menu now matches the prestigious, high end salon and is a project that we are very proud of.  Anna from Glitterati must be impressed with our work, as we are now designing other promotional materials not to mention  re-branding her husbands business... so check back soon to see the results!

Annual Review - Village Aid

It's been a real busy few weeks at the Bimbo Design studio - this lovely annual review is one of the reasons why!  We have been working with James Atkins at Village Aid to design their 2010 annual report.  Village Aid is an International Development organisation based in Bakewell, Derbyshire.  They support local African Partners working with poor and marginalised rural communities, particularly women and young people.

Tenacious DJ - New Branding

Summer's nearly here and at Bimbo Design we love nothing better than a good party...well, er actually, we're just looking for an excuse to hire Tenacious DJ!
